Problem

In preparation for Vanity Fair’s 2012 “Art in the Streets” event, repeat client Condé Nast tapped Dolphin Micro to create an interactive teaser page. “Art in the Streets,” sponsored by Cadillac, involved the creation of an original mural by renowned artist Barry McGee at Mark Morris Dance Center in the heart of Brooklyn. As part of the event, Vanity Fair and Cadillac also hosted a contest for Instagram users, asking them to submit photos of street art across the country.

Solution

Built using PHP, the “Art in the Streets” teaser page featured a timer counting down to the mural’s unveiling along with a vibrant video wallpaper background. The page also pulled in Instagram feeds for a gallery to showcase contest entries.
